 Our Organization is based in the Tri-Cities Area (Benton City, West Richland, Richland, Pasco, Kennewick, Prosser, Walla Walla, Grandview and surrounding areas) of Southeastern Washington State.

NIKK (North Idaho Koi Keepers) Club Seminar

April 12, 2008

10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Transtector System Inc. in Hayden, Idaho

Mid Columbia Koi & Pond Club Members are invited to attend the NIKK workshop/seminar. They will be discussing problem solving techniques for ponds such as water quality and other aspects of taking care of Koi. If you are interested in attending this session with the NIKK group, please contact Ron Boedeker at Ron.koi@charter.net We are only asking for donations to help cover air travel and lunch expenses instead of setting a fee. The morning session will start at 10:00 a.m. then at noon there will be lunch and then after lunch the second session will start. The workshop/seminar will be held at Transtector Systems Inc. facilities located in Hayden, Idaho. The address is: 10701 N. Airport Road

Club News

  • Upcoming Pond Tour for 2008. If you are interested in showing your pond this year, please contact Ron Boedeker at: Ron.koi@charter.net  
  • Its that time again-Water Lily Contest for 2008. If your water lily has bloomed please have someone take a picture of it and send it in. Send a picture to Carmen Stafford/Newsletter Editor so that she can place it in the newsletter.
  • Thank you everyone who participated in the Home & Garden Show at the TRAC and thank you goes out to Blue Mountain Garden Club for inviting us to set up a display table.
  • Fish Disease Testing-We now have a lab testing program in place to help our club members avoid serious fish disease problems or to help deal with existing ones.
  • Ron Boedeker has started a series of articles called:  "Best Practices"
  • Congratulations to Jan Jordan-winner of the 2007 "First Water Lily Bloom".
